1. The process of formation and development The Journal of Commercial Science was established under the Decision No. 6592/QD-BGD&ĐT-TCCB dated December 27, 2002 of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Culture and Information, granting the License to operate the press No. 566/ GP-BVHTT dated December 24, 2002 with the following principles and purposes: - Publish and introduce scientific research works on commerce serving the training, research and teaching of the University. - Information and introduction of scientific research results on domestic and foreign trade. - To inform and propagate guidelines and policies of the Party and State of Vietnam in the field of education, training and economic development. When newly established, the Journal editorial office was staffed with 4 full-time staff including:

Issue 4 issues of Journal/year. Since 2007 the editorial office has 6 full-time staff including:

Since 2013, The Trade Sciences Review has been published in English for 6 months/1 issue.

The focus of the work is to review, edit and publish scientific articles (Research Papers) in addition to devoting a certain amount of space to publishing practical reviews (Practical Reviews) in the fields of commerce. modernity (including trade in goods, services, investment activities and intellectual property) in Vietnam and the world. The quality of scientific articles has approached the international framework and level. Since 2012, the Journal has been ranked by the Vietnam Council for Professor Title as one of the top 5 economic scientific journals in the country in terms of quality in both content and form.

The Editorial Board of the Journal attracts leading scientists and teachers of the University and leading national and international prestigious professors, associate professors and PhDs.

Since 2013, the Journal has put summaries of articles (Abstracts) in English on the website of the University and the Journal.

In 2015, on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the University and receiving the First-class Labor Medal, the Commercial Science Journal was assigned by the University's Rector to be the focal point for editing "The collection of scientific works published in the period 2010 - 2015". This work has been completed and uploaded online at www.vcu.edu.vn, which collects published scientific works of the University's teachers and scientists in the period 2010-2015. .

This is a valuable work not only for the authors, but importantly, it is a very useful reference database for researchers, graduate students, graduate students and students in the field. conducting scientific researches, master's theses and doctoral theses, and is also a testament to the quality accreditation of the University of Commerce in the past period.

3. Mission function

According to the Regulation on organization and operation of the Journal of Commerce Science issued together with the Decision No. 119/QD-TM-TCHC dated May 13, 2003 of the Rector of the University of Commerce, the Journal has the duties and the following powers:

- Publish and introduce scientific research works on commerce serving the training, research and teaching of the University.

- Propagate the guidelines and policies of the Party and State of Vietnam in the field of education, training and economic development and introduce research results (theoretical and applied) on domestic and foreign trade.

- Disseminate and update knowledge in the field of science and practice on trade, tourism and services.

- Information exchange on theoretical and practical issues, forecast analysis and propose solutions on current issues of economic, trade and environmental development in Vietnam, the region and the world. .

- Responsible for coordinating with units in the school to organize activities to meet the requirements of information and propaganda work.

- Management of civil servants on the unit's payroll.

- Manage assets and finances of the Journal according to the regulations of the State and the University.

- Perform other duties assigned by the Principal.
