1.Bui Huu Duc, University of Commerce – A Study of Social Responsibility of Enterprises Producing and Trading Wooden Handicrafts in Dong Giao Trade Village – Hai Duong
Recently, the issue of corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been widely mentioned in our country. However, the awareness of Vietnamese enterprises in general and trade village’s firms in particular on this matter is still modest, therefore, the full implementation of CSR still remains shortcomings. Along with the development of the economy and the demand of the market, many firms producing and trading wooden handicrafts have been springing up in Dong Giao trade village (Luong Dien commune, Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province). In spite of their small size, most of those firms have contributed a significant part to the development of this traditional village, prevent it from the danger of oblivion, preserve an unique identity of the local  community, create jobs and generate stable income to local labor force. However, the awareness of CSR and the CSR implementation of those wooden handicraft firms in Dong Giao village are still limited. Hence, a study on the real situation of the CSR awareness and the CSR implementation of trade village enterprises as well as the suggestions and solutions to improve the knowledge and enhance the CSR performance of firms in Dong Giao trade village become significant.
This paper contains 5 parts: 1) Introduction; 2) Research methodology; 3) Definitions and aspects of CSR; 4) Current situation of the CSR implementation of enterprises producing and trading wooden handicrafts in Dong Giao trade village; 5) Solutions and recommendations to improve CSR implementation of firms in Dong Giao trade village.

2.Do Huong Lan, Foreign Trade University – Trade between Vietnam and Russian Federation: Current Situation, Potentials and Development Solutions.
Russian Federation has been considered a traditional trading partner of Vietnam for many years. After the collapse of Soviet Union, there has been the stagnancy in trading relationship of the two countries. Since the governance of President V.V.Putin, along with the changes in foreign affair policy together with East-oriented policy, and setting up strategic partnership with Vietnam (2001), trading relationship between two countries has remarked significant milestones and become more and more intensive. However, the actual development of trade in goods between the two countries during the last few years has shown that this relationship is not adequate to the potential and the political relations of strategic partners. The paper below will draw up an overview of trade in goods between Vietnam and Russian Federation in recent years and point out the existing problems to develop this promising trading area, basing on secondary data from statistic publications of Vietnamese and Russian organizations as well as the information source collected from the author’s own survey.
The research paper includes 3 parts: 1) An overview of trading potential with Russian Federation; 2) Current situation of trade in goods between Vietnam and Russian Federation; 3) Recommendations to develop Vietnam - Russia bilateral trade.
According to the analysis of trading activities between Vietnam and Russia, a number of conclusions has been revealed: During the first years of 21st century, because of these two governments’ non-stop efforts to create favorable legal framework for the co-operation and the goodwill of their enterprises, despite the difficulties of the previous phases, trading relationship between the two countries has been flourishing, especially, since 2010, trading activities of the two countries have been stimulating their strengths. Vietnam has been penetrating intensively and widely into this huge market with its tropical agricultural processing produces, aquatic products, garment and textile, handicraft and fine arts, electronic goods, bicycles … Simultaneously, Vietnam also imports raw materials and fuels from Russian partners for domestic production… Trading results between two countries during the past few years has shown that Russia (previously Soviet Union) and Vietnam used to be traditional trading partners and the two countries have reached a strategic relationship. However, for Russian Federation, although Vietnam has been considered as one of the most important partners of Russia in South East Asia, actually, Vietnam has not set a firm position in Russian market because our market share just accounted for approximately 1% of total import turnover of Russia, whereas our neighbor, China has been a major partner of Russia for many years, despite its less favorable traditional relationship than Vietnam. In 2011, China became the largest trading partner of Russia, and Vietnam has just ranked number 8 out of 19 countries and territories which has trading activities with Russia. Basing on the above conclusions, the writer has introduced 8 recommendations to foster Vietnam – Russia bilateral trade relationship in the future.

In the globalization context of the world economy, the standardization process of management systems has developed to a higher level due to its wide issuance and application throughout the world. The ISO 9000 standards were introduced in Vietnam in 1990s and applied popularly. Within 10 years, the number of Vietnamese enterprises gaining ISO 9000 certificate had increased 431 times, from 13 (in 1997) to 7333 certificates (in 2009). While most of management staff and researchers considered ISO 9000 a necessary tool for quality management, it is difficult to find out the scientific and systematic evidences of the actual impact of ISO 9000 on the business result of Vietnamese firms. Based on the results of an experimental study on the real application of ISO 9000 in Vietnam of Centre of Productivity which was carried out from 2007 to 2010, this paper introduces a brief analysis of the factors influencing the effectiveness of the application of ISO 9000 in industrial enterprises. This research focuses on clarifying the relationship among four elements: the purpose and certification of ISO 9000, the level of complying with the principles and requirements of ISO 9000, improvement results from ISO 9000 and difficulties when applying ISO 9000 in enterprises. The research results shows that ISO 9000 has contributed to the quality improvement and development of companies, especially the quality of production and trading process, the skills and attitude of labor force. Besides, the survey also reveals that the results of the improvement and the obstacles companies encountered when applying ISO 9000 depended on the motivation of the companies when they applied ISO 9000. The analyses in this paper can be used as reference source of information for companies to consider before choosing and applying ISO 9000.
The article includes 5 parts: 1) Roles of ISO from macroeconomics perspectives; 2) Analysis framework; 3) Research design; 4) Research results; 5) Conclusions and recommendations.

5.Tran Duc Thang and Pham Long, University of National Economics – Quality of e-Banking Service and Improvement of Customer Satisfaction of Commercial Banks in Vietnam.
The objectives of this research are studying the relationship between the quality of e-banking service and the satisfaction and loyalty of customers in Vietnam. The research model and hypothesis system had been set up and verified with 511 customers of Vietnamese commercial banks. Based on the research results, the writer provides solutions and recommendations to improve the quality of e-banking service and enhance the satisfaction and loyalty of customers in Vietnamese commercial banks.
The article includes 4 parts: 1) Theoretical backgrounds; 2) Research model and methodology; 3) Methodology; 4) Conclusion and further studies.
In fact, today, there are a few empirical studies conducted to test the relationship between the quality of e-banking services with the customer satisfaction and loyalty, however, not many have examined the relationship between these variables in a single research framework for electronic banking sectors. Therefore, in this article, the authors have used the results of previous studies as the reference to develop a structural model of the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction and loyalty in the context of electronic banking services in Vietnam.
The results of model studies showed that the overall quality of e-banking services have a positive correlation with the quality of online information systems and quality of banking products and services. This conclusion is also consistent with results of previous studies, however, it is insufficient to infer that the overall quality of e-banking services has a positive relationship with the quality of e-banking services, and this result is different from the ones of previous studies; Customer satisfaction is closely correlated with the overall quality of banking services; Customer loyalty is also tightly connected with customer satisfaction. These results imply that if banks raise their overall quality of service, they will be able to satisfy customers and create customer loyalty.
The study had attempted to clarify the relationship between the quality of e-banking services, the customer satisfaction and loyalty as well as the impact of switching costs, however, the research still has not taken into account several issues such as the impact of sociological factors as gender, or age of this relationship; the influence of other intermediary factors such as the bank image, customers’ trust and the relationship between customer satisfaction and loyalty; customer loyalty and its impact on the efficiency of the bank performance, etc. Those limitations of this research will be the topics for further studies in the future.
